Dear Jonathan:
First of all let me say: Congratulations on your superb book!
I have a vast experience in this field of alternative cancer treatment
going back to 1999. I have attended dozens of alternative, complementary,
and integrative cancer conferences and workshops (I attend every such
event that I hear about); have had discussions with hundreds of
holistic cancer practitioners and thousands of cancer patients; am active on all the
alternative cancer listservs (email discussion groups); and have read or am
familiar with almost every book written on alternative cancer treatment (and
have compiled an annotated bibliography of them). Let me say immediately
that your book is authoritative, reputable, and much more comprehensive
and better balanced than the vast majority of other books on the topic.
Also, it has much valuable material that I don't recall seeing in any other
book.
The book would strongly appeal to cancer patients and their families. The
tone is perhaps a bit too strong for conventional medical practitioners,
but the book isn't written for them. But it is very suited towards the
general public and certainly to cancer patients for whom it was clearly written. In
fact the tone is engaging and lively and will appeal to anyone sympathetic to
alternative approaches to cancer.
You have succeeded in making a complicated subject accessible and I
certainly do hope you can find a publisher soon. I would be happy to
personally recommend it highly and without reservation to any publisher
wishing further comment.
Sincerely,
Leonard S. Rosenbaum, M.A.

" Your book is a masterpiece of both content and composition. The fact that you have kept it alive via your webpage for patients everywhere is a wonderful contribution. I have been impressed by the originality, persistence and quality of your work...I could not help but notice that your work was in response to your loss of your wife. I know that you will never get over it but your wonderful work is a grand testimonial as to how you did, in fact, get through it and turn this personal tragedy to something of value to mankind. I admire you for that. " - Gerald White, Founder - Seeds of Joy Foundation

"My husband of 30 years was initially diagnosed with a high grade sarcoma in January, 2003, had his left foot amputated in March and was told in May that it had metastasized to his lungs, is incurable, is not treatable and he has 6-12 months to live. An incredible despair seized us and we couldn't see anything but hopelessness through our tears. Then I Googled "fighting +cancer" and the first link I went to was a chapter from your brilliant book. A spark of hope came back into my life. I quickly printed out the entire book and devoured the entire thing in one sitting. As I read hope grew and grew.
My darling husband, still in the bottomless pit of despair, wouldn't read it, so I just began reading it aloud to him. He got up to leave the room but I followed him, reading aloud as he went from room to room and finally out into the garden. The part I choose to read was about Linus Pauling and Vitamin C. Suddenly he stopped, turned around and took the pages from my hands saying, "I had forgotten about Vitamin C". He sat down on the steps and began to read. He sat there for over two hours. When he was finished, he came in the house and said "Let's go find some sodium ascorbate and all that other stuff on Linus' list. We have a path now." So off we went.
Now, a month later, he is taking 19 grams a Vitamin C a day, plus mega-doses of Vitamin A, E, B complex, selenium, potassium, etc. We're also doing the Johanna Budwig cottage cheese and flaxseed oil, eating a diet of 60-70% raw vegetables and fruits, noni juice, kombucha, herbs (ginseng, horsetail, liquorice root, burdock root, bee pollen, etc.), Essiac and Pau d'Arco teas and are awaiting MGN3 which is coming in the mail any day now. He says he hasn't felt this good in years. He has gained weight, is going to physical therapy (gait training for the prosthesis) twice a week, swimming twice a week, and seems happier than he has been since we first heard the horrible news.
I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You gave us hope when all we could see was despair and you gave us a path when we thought all was lost. " - Mrs Colleen Crim, San Mateo
